I found this fabulous artist named Miranda McNulty on Etsy. Check out my interview with her below.
What’s your definition of chic?
My definition of chic is the elegance and style women of the 1950’s/60.
What inspires you?
I’m most inspired by my favorite artists, Kenton Nelson and Jack Vettriano. I love Nelson’s style of colorful, bold figures and Vettriano’s subjects of 1950’s men and women.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
Every print I make starts from a small obsession. So when I begin daydreaming about Don Draper or Mr. Darcy everyday and it looks as if there is no escape, making my art prints became a really fun and interesting outlet. I’m inspired by literature, especially the works of Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters. 1960’s music and Hollywood tend to be frequent subjects of my work.
How did you start in this field? What was your Aha moment?
I’ve been creating since I was a child and have always loved to draw. My Aha moment came when I realized that I could combine my passions and obsessions into creative pieces that others would enjoy as well.
Where can people find you online?
