How to wear a Fall Trend for 2012

Get ready because you are going to see Lace EVERYWHERE once fall comes. Lace is a trendy staple that you can actually recycle in your closet as long as you know how to wear it. Over the past several months  Kate Middleton has stepped out wearing Lace.

Lace is a textiled pattern with holes and designs created by hand or machine. There are two kinds of lace that are most common Bobbin Lace and Needlepoint Lace. Lace was previously popular in the 18th century and is currently making it’s entry back into the fashion world. Brands like Erdem , Alexander Mcqueen, and Alice Temperly are some of the Couture looks that Kate has worn. More affordable stores like Asos, and Dorothy Perkins carry a wide variety of dresses and other pieces that are made of Lace.

The goal with lace is to either wear it as a statement piece or a accent piece. Middleton is often wearing it as a statement piece. If you use it as a accent piece try a lace skirt with a bold colored top. Or mixing Lace with a print.

It’s easy to style this look wrong so be sure of how you rock this trend this fall before you step out the door.
